refugees, and immigrant
communities including survivors of domestic violence,
single-parent households, and veterans.
EVOKE was born from collective, hands-on experience working within the housing ecosystem and witnessing firsthand the challenges faced by vulnerable populations in securing and maintaining stable housing.

Daniela is the founder of Pathway Housing Solutions, where she works closely with shelters, government agencies, housing authorities, and landlords to support families in navigating complex housing systems. Through this work, Daniela identified critical gaps in housing access, coordination, and long-term support. These insights, combined with the shared vision of my co-founders, Karen Silva and Mariatu Decamp, led to the creation of EVOKE.
Daniela brings over a decade of leadership experience in talent acquisition and housing services. Her background as a Senior Staffing Manager and Housing Services Consultant has equipped her with strong expertise in strategic planning, cross-sector collaboration, and community engagement.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Human Resource Management, which provide both the strategic and human-centered foundation necessary to lead impactful community initiatives.
MARIATU DECAMP
VP of Operations
Mariatu Decamp is the founder of In Her Hands, a home care agency dedicated to providing compassionate, structured support services to individuals and families in need. She also serves as Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Administrative Operations Manager, at EVOKE where she oversees day-to-day operations, coordinates administrative systems, and manages multiple caseworkers across various shelter programs. In this role, she ensures efficient service delivery and strong coordination of care for vulnerable populations through shelters and community-based support services.
She holds a Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration from Southern New Hampshire University and brings over 10 years of experience in case management and shelter operations. Throughout her career, she has developed strong expertise in care coordination, operational leadership, and program management, with a focus on improving outcomes for underserved individuals and families.
Beyond her professional leadership, Mariatu is a devoted mother of two who deeply values family life. In her personal time, she enjoys creating meaningful memories with her children, especially spending summers together at the beach.

Karen holds a degree in Hospitality and brings over 20 years of leadership through dedicated volunteer service. She combines operational insight with a deep commitment to service, consistently driving initiatives that create tangible community impact from establishing community gardens to leading efforts that provide beds for children in need.
Her service extends internationally, including mission work with Haitian refugees in the Dominican Republic and support for public schools and community gardens in Brazil, reflecting a global perspective and a steadfast commitment to strengthening communities both locally and abroad.
Karen is recognized for her strategic mindset, resourcefulness, and ability to turn vision into action, making her a key leader in advancing the organization’s mission.
Outside of her professional and ministry work, she enjoys baking, traveling, and spending quality time with her son and her cat.
